Meet the Maker
Hello and welcome to my shop. I’m glad you stopped by. My name is Dawn and I have been creating in one form or another for more than 40 years.
When I was a young girl, maybe 10 years old, my grandma tried to teach me how to knit and crochet. Let's just say it didn't work out quite the way we would have liked. When I was a bit older and out on my own I decided to try my hand at quilting. It had to be easier, probably because it didn't matter that I was left-handed...unlike knitting and crocheting.
Today I specialize in artisan Christmas ornaments and contemporary, handcrafted art that is inspired by nature. I grew up in the heart of the Adirondacks in New York state, spent a few years in Hawaii, and now live on 14 acres of woods in the middle of nowhere.
How it’s Made
I curate the fabric included in each kit. I have a large fabric collection that I pull from; you never know what you might find when going through the piles of fabric. I’m always on the lookout for fabric that I think will make a good mountain or blend well with my current water/beach sand selections.
Each of my art quilt kits contains everything you need to make the quilt shown in the example, including the canvas the quilt gets mounted on. All hanging hardware has already been attached to the canvas and a foam brush is included along with the medium used to attach the quilt to the canvas.
I also take pictures as the quilt progresses showing you the different ways the next strip could have been sewn on. Because each piece of batik is unique the section you get may be different from the piece I used. These pictures are included as a separate pdf file that is included with your purchase.

Returns and exchanges
I do not accept returns on sale items and custom orders.
For all other items please contact me within 2 days of delivery. The item must be shipped back to me via Priority mail, or something comparable to how it was shipped to you, within 5 days of delivery.
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Your refund will be issued once I have received your item(s) and determined their condition.
