Meet the Maker
I'm a mother of 3 grown children and a Nana (Grandma) of 9 and 1 more on the way. I'm retired and in my sewing room sewing. I love to machine embroidery, digitize, and sew and quilt. I love all sewing including sewing clothes for my grandchildren. I love to make purses, quilts, tableware and free motion quilting. I have a very supportive husband who encourages my passion for sewing. I occasionally teach sewing and quilting classes at my local sewing and quilting store because I love to share my passion for sewing with others.
How it’s Made
Using EQ8 quilt software I design the quilt pattern for this fabric panel. It is always a challenge to design a quilt for a center panel without taking away the focus of the panel. It is also a creative challenge to quilt a fabric panel. Take a close look at the center panel and note that I used different free motion quilt motifs to quilt the panel. Free motion quilt is drawing free hand with a sewing machine needle and thread and is not perfect but authentic.
