This amazing handmade ceramic mug was painted with layers of different colored glazes including blues and purples. It has a unique and comfortable twisted handle. This functional art piece is 3 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

Meet the Maker
From a small farming community in California, Jazmin came to the big city of Long Beach, CA to further her education in art and experience of life. She attended Cal State Long Beach where she received a BFA in Ceramics and is now living the dream of teaching and sharing pottery with students of every age as well as concentrating on her own practice and growth. Everything hand made by Jaz is created with love and she hopes that when you drink, eat or enjoy the sight of her works of art that you also feel the love within the piece and share that love in your home and with the world around you.
How it’s Made
This one of a kind handmade ceramic vessel was made by rolling coils to create the handle and carefully twisting them. I made the cylinder on the potters wheel, then flipped it over and trimmed the bottom of it once it was dry enough.
When all piece were leather hard, I made the attachment of the handle to the vessel. The piece was fired once to get it rock hard, carefully painted with layers of glazes creating the unique color on the surface, then fired again. Each firing is overnight.
