Carnelian and Black Star Diopside stacking ring set
Size 5.75 - both rings can be sized up a bit, just let me know in comments
Sterling silver bands were forged by me using traditional metalsmithing techniques and using metalsmith tools - and the stones were set in bezel cups.
Carnelian is 4mm and the Black star diopside is 3mm
If you look closely at the black star diopside, you will see the glint of light at the point of the stone - it's better seen in person or maybe in other photographs. The carnelian is a soft glowy orange. I tried to capture the "essence" of each, but good luck capturing anything with a camera that the eye can see much better. None of my photos were enhanced or photoshopped.

Carnelian is believed to be named after the red-orange Kornel cherry. Artifacts using carnelian date back to the Bronze Age circa 1800 BC on the island of Crete. Carnelian was believed by the Romans to be a stone of courage--able to shore up confidence and strength. In ancient Egypt, the stone was placed on mummies to assist the dead in their journey to the afterlife while architects to the pharaohs wore carnelian to denote rank and status. In the Middle Ages, carnelian was used by alchemists when boiling stone to release the energy of other gemstones.
Carnelian is the birthstone for the zodiac sign of Virgo (August 23 - September 22). For most cultures, from the 15th to the 20th century, carnelian was one of four birthstones for August. In 1912, the United States adopted peridot as the August birthstone, however in 2013, Britain recognized carnelian as a secondary birthstone after ruby.

Diopside surfaced around the 1800s. Its name stems from the Greek word 'di' for two and 'opsis' for vision. This opaque gem of second sight is carved with a rounded cabochon cut to accentuate its shining asterism properties. This version of diopside is typically available in a stark black but may display hints of dark forest green.
The black star diopside gemstone is formed from calcium magnesium silicate with needle-like inclusions that create the star-like effect. Indian black star diopside is unique in that its star is a four-pointed cross. This gem is occasionally mistaken for black star sapphires which exhibit a six- or twelve-pointed star.

There are NO refunds for custom orders on spinner rings. Please please pretty please get sized professionally for wide band ring before you order. They fit much tighter than narrow bands. Again, please get fitted professionally! Please contact me before ordering if you have any questions.

I am pretty ocd about the details because I want to make a good, solid product and I love for my customers to be happy with what I make.

I do not do refunds on any of my custom jewelry when I'm given the wrong size. I don't refund copper jewelry if it turns your fingers green. Copper turns skin green depending on body chemistry. Sealing the copper with a thin layer of clear fingernail polish carefully will delay the coloring. I can't control body chemistry.
I no longer repair spinner rings that have been damaged via extreme wear, or when it's been caught in car doors or when the owner tries to repair it themselves. I will gladly make you another one for the same cost.
I don't give refunds on rings or other jewelry because they tarnish. When an item is hand stamped, the recessed area is filled which will lighten up over time.
This is also true of jewelry that has been antiqued - just like color slowly coming out of hair, the high points in jewelry will possibly lose color over time. This is normal and to be expected.
No returns or exchanges on custom stamped items that don't look 100% like the original listing. Handmade & custom lends itself to imperfections but I do quality control on each item before shipping.
No earring refunds, exchanges or returns. All earrings are thoroughly inspected prior to shipping quality control.
