Purple Burro Creek Gemstone Cabochon wrapped with Sterling Silver wire to make a one of a kind jewelry pendant.
Intriguing shades of purple along with tan and white swirls dance on the surface of this silver wrapped pendant. The beauty of this simple yet contemporary pendant is breathtaking. The stone for this pendant was found by a friend of mine on a trip to the Burro Creek, Arizona area. We stumbled onto a small area with a few really nice purple rocks that had to follow us back to my workshop. The purple is different hues of lavender, dark to light, and is sometimes referred to as Damsonite rather than agate. I love how the black dendrites float in the purple "river" with waves of tan and white flowing alongside them.

Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Diane and I am the owner and artist behind Artisan Rockhound. I started out as a Rockhound (a person who searches for and collects rocks and minerals as a hobby) and became an Artisan (a skilled craft worker who makes or creates material objects partly or entirely by hand). That's where my business name came from. I still love rockhounding and do it any chance I get plus I enjoy talking about rocks to whoever wants to listen.
Everything I sell is made in my Arizona, USA workshop with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The leather pouches I make with high quality Elk and Deer hide that I hand pick from various vendors. I use only glass beads, natural gemstones, metal, and authentic antler/bones as embellishments. All my products are proudly made in the USA. Each one is a unique one of a kind work of art. My products are already made when they enter the shop so they are ready to ship as soon as you buy them.

How it’s Made
I collected, shaped, and polished a piece of Burro Creek Agate that a friend and I found while hiking in that area. I then wrapped it with sterling silver wire to make a frame and added a bail and some swirls for accent to make a one of a kind pendant.
