About this Product
This handmade ornament can be for any occasion and is the modern-day trend of paper crafting added to an old-world, hard-to-find vintage canning jar lid. These regular mouth canning lids (often referred to as split Altas lids) had a cutout center. A glass or ceramic insert was put in the jar and the lid had no contact with food. This prevented issues with acidic foods.
Not only do they work very well on a Christmas tree, but they make great filler for any area you are doing a holiday or decorating refresh (mantles, trays, and windows to name a few.) They also make great gifts for foodies and canners. You may even want to consider using one as a gift topper.
