Keep essential knitting notions right where you need them with these super cute hexagon-shaped knitting kits that clip anywhere, made in super bright neon vinyl solids! They are approximately 4” tall, and come with:

  • one hexagon acrylic needle gauge for needle sizes US 0-15 (assorted colors, chosen to match fabric)
  • one pair of 3” folding scissors
  • one 3” yarn needle
  • ten 10mm metal stitch markers
  • one 2” safety pin stitch holder

These are made-to-order and will take 1-4 weeks to make and ship, depending on fabric availability.

I do wholesale and custom orders! Visit my full website at modularmodular.net for more options, including lots of project bags and other fun stuff for knitters, crocheters, and cross stitchers.

Please note that fabric orientation may vary, especially on striped prints. In addition, all faux leather, vinyl, and glitter fabric comes with small flaws from manufacturers. While I do my best to minimize these in my production processes so your item is beautiful as possible, there may still be some minor issues including discoloration, wrinkles, marks, etc.

Items included in kit may vary from the photos depending on available supplies.

Hello! I’m Katy! I run this joint, and personally make everything you find on this shop. ModularModular is based on the idea that the craft life should fit seamlessly into the busy lifestyle of the modern maker. I strive to offer products that will appeal to those who appreciate well-designed simplicity, and patterns that inspire making.

I make things I would want to own, use, or make, that's the driving force behind ModularModular. Quality, substance, and aesthetics are very important to me, and I find inspiration in constantly playing around with the things I make in order to find the very best way to make something.

ModularModular got started because I've been a knitter since I was 15, and being a rather particular crafter, was never satisfied with project bags that didn't fit my needs or aesthetic tastes. During my 6 year stint at Fancy Tiger Crafts in 2012, I fell madly in love with high-quality, modern fabric design, and it seemed logical to start making my own project bags out of beautiful fabric that were exactly what I needed them to be. My knitting and crochet friends started wanting me to make them bags, and by 2013 I was making them for everybody. ModularModular has expanded and expanded ever since, and now I offer a range of items from project bags to knitting kits to patterns to swag for your crafting space. It’s a lot of work, but I love running this shop and sharing my love of fun and funky prints, interesting materials, and functionality!

I’m originally from Denver, CO, but recently I packed up for warmer weather and relocated to sunny Phoenix, AZ! When I’m not making stuff, you can find me drafting substations and wind farms at my day job, traveling with my best friend, being a damn nerd, listening to too many true crime podcasts, and going to ska/punk shows.

Wholesale orders:

My hexagon knitting kits, knitting patterns, and a few other fun things are available for wholesale, you can find out more at modularmodular.net/wholesale

Fabric placement:

Why isn't your bag exactly as pictured? I make several project bags out of each print—some go into our online shop, and others go to stores. I usually only photograph one bag of each print, so your particular project bag may not be the same bag that was photographed, and therefore fabric placement may vary. I do my best to make sure everything else is the same however!

Are your fabrics eco-friendly?
I make everything by hand in sunny Phoenix, Arizona in a small studio. However, due to the nature of the textile industry, I cannot guarantee that materials used are eco-friendly, though I do try to use eco-friendly materials and support sustainable sewing practices whenever I can.
