The laser engraving is done on the back of the piece and shows through the acrylic - the front is smooth.

In case you are wondering about our shop name, "Ottava" is the Italian word for "Octave" and is pronounced Oh-TAH-vah. We chose that name because we both love music and we're both Italian....my husband is Italian by birth, and I am Italian by marriage!
