What’s the difference between Handmade vs Mass-Produced Coasters?

Handmade vs mass-produced coasters is an interesting comparison between handcrafted and artisanal versus commercial craftsmanship. Each coaster has its own unique quality that results from the difference in craftsmanship. Handcrafted coasters are highly individualized as each one is handcrafted by an artisan with precision and care, while mass-produced coasters tend to be machine-manufactured in large batches that result in a more uniform quality across the board. Ultimately, handcrafted coasters offer a unique and special touch, perfect for any coaster lover looking to add something truly unique to their home!

What is the History of Coasters?

Coasters have been around for centuries, and handcrafted wooden coasters were originally used in their most primitive form as wooden disks to protect the surfaces of furniture from hot plates served on them. As time passed, artisans began to handcraft these disks into beautiful designs with intricate patterns and textures. Today, each coaster is one-of-a-kind and are made with a range of materials to create something truly unique.
