My standard wood signs and trays are natural wood with just a clear spray polyurethane finish from Rustoleum.

The stain process adds at least one additional day as it takes time for stain to dry before it can be finished. The stain samples are just approximations of what the finished product will look like when added to pine or other light colored wood and may vary -as the amount of stain may vary, the wood absorption may vary, and monitor colors may vary. So be aware there is no guarantee that there may be a perfect match to your home decor or even to another sign I may have done for you previously.

If you'd prefer a paint rather than a stain, I'm happy to do that for you as well, just ask! Additional charges will apply for paint colors I do not already have. Basic colors I do have on hand are: White, Black, Gray, Brown, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Slate (a grayish/blue).

In checkout notes, just mention which stain (or paint) you'd like. Prices vary based on the size of the tray or sign in square feet (height in inches x width in inches / 144) as well as whether you want the carved area to remain natural or which to have the carved area painted.

Sizing details
The wood and corian I use is reclaimed, refurbished, or at least rebought and may be one of a kind. To maximize usage, sizing may vary in all dimensions plus or minus about 10%. For custom signs, you'll be sent a mock up based on your custom text along with approximate dimensions planned for your project. Let us know at the time of your order if exact specific sizing is required.

Custom and personalized orders
Be sure to include the name/message in your checkout notes. Keep in mind the max number of characters may be limited based on the size of the item. If you need more, please contact me for a customized quote. The font(s) shown in the first photo is generally standard for that sign. If you wish to use another font, I can accommodate you as long as the font you wish to use is available from a reputable site for commercial use. Any additional costs will be added to the order. I will send a mockup of your personalized sign within 2-3 business days for your approval before beginning work. Damage/loss handled thru insurance.

Care instructions
Some items include indoor/outdoor urethane, some include just inside urethane, and some are left unfinished. Cedar and redwood weathers nicely outside whether finished or not, but other wood types should be sealed for protection and that protection should be renewed by the customer regularly to ensure continued protection. Corian is a man-made acrylic that is weather proof and uv resistant, however the paint (though suitable for outdoor use) will need touch ups if used outside just as house paint would. 

Gift wrapping and packaging
Gift wrapping is not currently available, however, I am happy to include a gift message upon request and leave out the pricing on the invoice. Just let me know!

Packaging and protective materials are mostly recycled, but still clean and sturdy, this is to save you money as well as help keep perfectly usable material out of the landfill.

I get to work on your mockup as soon as possible after your order is received to get it to you within the promised time frame, so cancellations are not accepted after 24 hours. Please respond promptly with your input for the mockup as work will not begin until you approve it.


As all work is done to order specifically for you, returns and refunds are not possible. If your order arrives damaged or is lost in the mail, let me know and I'll make it right. Be sure the mockup I send is how you want the final design to look.  (See Shipping and Insurance for additional details.)

Processing time
Processing time is an estimate. Most of my items are designed and hand made specifically for you and there are times when items must be remade due to not meeting my standards. If you have an event this item must arrive in time for, please communicate that before placing your order and also include the date needed by in your checkout notes. While I can promise the date I will ship. I cannot guarantee delivery times as that is beyond my control. If you are local to Rosamond, CA, you are welcomed to pickup.

Shipping and Insurance

Shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Once accepted by the post office, priority usually takes 1-3 days,  and ground UPS/FEDEX takes 1-6 days. However, occasionally things are delayed or misdirected. Shipping arrival is not guaranteed except for Priority EXPRESS. The only remedy the post office offers if they are late with a Priority Express package is to refund shipping, which you can apply for with your local post office in the event that happens. (Note: Due to COVID some carriers are not even offering guarantees on their overnight service.)

All items are shipped insured, however, I need to follow my insurer's requirements for submitting claims. Lost items cannot be claimed until 15 days have passed for domestic and 30 days for international. Damaged items will need to have photos taken and the packing material kept.
