Life can deal you many challenges and ours was just a little more than most employers could handle. With a husband whose military and law enforcement career could take him away for months or longer at a time and two special abilities children at home to take care of, regular employers were not as understanding of the demands this can take upon a part time single caretakers schedule and this would result in the loss of employment. So, I took my love of crafting and turned it into a business that offered a schedule that would accommodate the flexibility needed while still being able to work a full week. If I need to come in on Monday a little later for work because I have to take my child to physical therapy, or if my son has a neurosurgery appointment on Thursday so I needed this day off but can work on Sunday, no problem, I can now work any day and any hours I need to because I was no longer tied down to a 9-5 job.  The best part is that as the business grows, we are able to design our company to the special needs of our children and build around their challenges so they too can work when they want to. This has opened a door for them that is normally closed, for very few companies build their space around a person who uses a wheelchair and only use of one arm, but once Jonathan said he wanted to work, this is exactly what we were able to do, and we must thank all of our customers for without them this would not be possible.
