Prints & Original Paintings with that Lowcountry Feel
A Charleston, S.C. native, I attended Parson’s School of Design in NYC and received my fine arts degree at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.I worked in advertising, in NY, before returning to Charleston.I have been the Art Director for a large embroidery and screen print company for the past 26 years, designing resort and sports apparel sold internationally. I have been painting low country river scenes, animals and marine life, in aqua media, on mulberry fiber paper that is dyed, then marbleized with gold leaf paint. But I have never been set on just one style or medium.I love trying different mediums on canvas or various paper types depending on the subject matter. Apparently the artist’s gene runs in the family being that my brother, mother and grandfather is and were talented artists. Until 2004, I showed in galleries and sold my art at art and craft shows from Florida to North Carolina. Life became too busy to keep up when I had my son, so I cut back on my painting and showing, but now I’m jumping back in. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
