About this Product

Adorable red ladybug painted rock that is full of personality! Great for Garden rocks, Garden decor, Garden decoration, kindness rocks, gifts, favors, home decor, paperweight, pocket pebbles, pocket hugs, Love bugs.. Possibilities are endless! : )

Hand painted by myself using acrylic paints on natural rock. Bug is sealed in a very glossy UV resistant resin (kinda like sunblock for ladybug rocks… Ha!), which not only makes it super shiny but also protects it for both indoor and outdoor use.

Ladybug measures about 2 ½ to 3 inches. Natural rocks come in all kinds of shapes, no two are ever the same. I pick rocks that are round, oval, oblong.

*** This listing is for ONE ladybug. In my shop I have Ladybugs in different sizes, sets and colors.

Ladybug is painted at the time of order. It typically takes me 4-5 days to paint, dry and cure the resin. I ship USPS 2-day. If you need this cutie to be “rushed”, please let me know directly.

Looks lovely peeking out of a potted plant, hiding in the garden, sitting on a desk, looking out a window, in a Fairy Garden, or near candles.

I created these LOVE bugs as a way to spread hope, kindness, inspiration and a little bit of love. Spread them around your community, place them in random spots for others to find, mail them to special friends and family members, give them as small “thinking about you” gifts or give them out as little “pick me ups”.

“Until you spread your wings you’ll have no idea how far you can fly.”

Little red bug, oh so cute, Here's a black spot for your suit... ~Susan M. Paprocki

Hi there! Thank you so very much for visiting my shop.

I was inspired to paint rocks during the very beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. My daughter, who works in a nursing home, came home with a hand painted rock that simply said, “Thank you”. A basket of hand painted rocks were left by the front door of the nursing home. The rock brought tears to my eyes because someone was thinking about my daughter, who was working non-stop because of the pandemic. I just wanted to spread that feeling…. So I thought, “I should do that!”.

The idea was for me to paint fun and inspirational rocks to spread encouragement, hope and kindness by hiding them in obvious places in hopes someone would find them.

I named my rocks “Betty Bugs” after my mom because during that time I was unable to see her, so each little Betty Bug I painted and hid was my way to honor her.

I started placing rocks around essential businesses and healthcare facilities for others to find as a way to show comfort. I also left rocks around mailboxes, on sidewalks and walkways because of the lock-down. And, when our state began to open up I started hiding rocks just about every single place I went.

These rocks mean so much to me, I cannot even begin to tell you how much. They helped me during a very difficult time because not only did they keep me busy, but they kept me connected to those around me. There is absolutely no better feeling than making someone else smile with a random act of kindness.

Eventually I got a lot of encouragement from my children to open my little buggy shop. I was hesitant at first, but so happy I did. It is wonderful to know that each of my Betty Bug rocks bring smiles and happiness worldwide!

Each Betty Bug rock is hand painted by myself using acrylic paints. I also seal the rocks with a super shiny resin, which protects them for both outdoor and indoor use. It is a bit of a process to paint the rocks, but the outcome is so amazing and super adorable.
