About this Product
This is a beautifully hand made Railroad Spike Door Handle made from used railroad spikes. They can also be used as a decorative handle. Base plate measures 6.5" x 2". The rusted version is chemically aged/rusted and NOT SEALED.
This black version is POWDER COATED in a black smooth finish. The rusted and powder coated comes with #12 screws finished like the handle.
Powder coating is a high-quality polymer resin finish electro-statically sprayed onto the sign. It is then cured in an oven at 400° where it melts the resin powder together. It provides a more durable finish than liquid paints can offer, while still providing an attractive finish. Powder coated products are more resistant to diminished coating quality as a result of impact, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions. In turn, this reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, and other wear issues. It's tough. It looks great. And it lasts a long, long time.
