Meet the Maker
Hi there! My name is Jen and I am the owner and creator at A Jen Creation. I am based in Joplin, MO. I have been an avid crafter since my childhood when I started making handmade beaded jewelry. Over the years my interests grew to include crocheting, paper crafting, working with adhesive vinyl and heat transfer vinyl and eventually to working with epoxy resin. Crafting has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
Not only do I love crafting, but I also love teaching other people how to create beautiful things they thought they would never be able to create. It’s amazing to see the look of joy and accomplishment on someone’s face when they see that they have created something beautiful.
I started A Jen Creation in 2016 as a side gig at the urging of friends and coworkers who were seeing my creations. Due to some unfortunate life events, in 2018 I had to give up my professional career goals in child welfare/juvenile justice and move on to my plan B of turning my crafting side gig into something more full time. While I do miss the plans I had, I’m also very fortunate that I can continue to do something I love that allows me to be creative and make beautiful items that others can enjoy.
How it’s Made
These earrings are made with glitter mixed into FDA compliant/food safe epoxy resin and placed in cabochon stud earring settings.
