About this Product
This Wood Toy Lamb Cutout is a handmade piece from my Itty Bitty Animal Collection, crafted in Tallahassee, Florida. Made primarily from repurposed wood cutoffs, each toy is sanded and ready to paint, offering a natural wood look or a customizable finish. Its freestanding design makes it ideal for stacking and imaginative play, perfect for kids.
With over 40 years of crafting experience, I create durable, multigenerational toys that my grandkids still play with, ones I made decades ago. Due to the use of cutoffs, dimensions, wood type, and grain vary, ensuring each piece is unique. Variations in color are natural and add character.

Meet the Maker
I am a 20-year USAF veteran, during which time I worked in air defense as a radar technician and later as a technical inspector. After leaving the Air Force, I had a second career and retired after 28 years as a Systems Programmer/Linux Administrator.
I am 73 and have been making things from wood since childhood. I make and sell wooden toys, ornaments, puzzles, clocks, fretwork, scrollsaw art, baskets, small animal cutouts, custom orders, and anything that catches my attention. Some of my best ideas have come from customers.
I have an eclectic taste in music. I like some of every kind of music, but I am particularly fond of blues guitar. I am a competition shooter and regularly shoot in Smallbore Rifle and Pistol Silhouette matches and Steel Challenge. I like to pretend I can play the guitar.
I have two grandchildren, my grandson Odin and my granddaughter River.

How it’s Made
Each Wood Toy Lamb Sheep Cutout is crafted in my Tallahassee workshop using primarily repurposed wood cutoffs from other projects, ensuring an eco-friendly process. I start by selecting small wood pieces, typically oak, pine, or poplar, depending on availability, and carefully cut them into a lamb shape with a scroll saw for precision. The edges are then sanded smooth with various sanding tools and finish sand by hand to create a splinter-free surface ready for painting or natural display. Small holes are drilled for the eyes, adding a simple yet charming detail. The entire process results in a unique toy built to last for generations.
