About this Product
Christmas floral hanging dish towels have large poinsettias, hellebore flowers, gingham bows, pinecones, holly, red berries and pine branches, and a black background. Gold metallic highlights make these very festive.
Since these are each handmade, the exact placement of the design will vary.
Finished towels with tops closed are approximately 19-1/2" long from top of tab to bottom of towel. Towel is 20" wide at bottom edge.
Tops are cotton fabric with a layer of fleece/insulating material sandwiched between the front and back to give “body” to the top. The towel portion is 100% cotton waffle weave with a rustic, homespun look. The tabs are closed using hook and loop fasteners.
Care: After gentle machine washing, lay flat to dry, or tumble dry on low. (Do not "over" dry, as that will increase shrinkage.) Touch up with steam iron if desired.
In choosing towels, I’ve considered price, absorbency, looks and color availability. I’ve heard of “flour sack towels” and they are, perhaps, the most absorbent. When I decided to start making my Hanging Dish Towels, I wanted some that would look good with a variety of different prints. The flour sack type, or those similar ones that are checked and striped, or those that are already printed with scenes, would not look good matched with my fabric prints.
I looked at some like you might buy at a department store for your bathroom; but I felt they were too thick and wouldn’t dry out well. And, the cost and continued availability of colors would prohibit them working long term.
So, I found these waffle weave towels, in many beautiful colors, and they have worked well to make a pretty addition to any kitchen, and to match the other items that I make. Although these are absorbent, they aren’t as absorbent as some others might be.

Meet the Maker
I've been sewing since my first home economics class in 1960 - Beginning with clothing for myself, then for my two daughters. And when my older daughter married 30 years ago, I made satin and lace jewelry bags for her attendants. I've made a varied list of products for the home and for gift giving ever since.
When my husband retired in 2000, we moved from Florida to the North Carolina mountains and he joined in helping me create these items. We work well together as we take turns in the process of completing an item. A typical apron-making project will start with him cutting out the pieces and ironing the neck and waist ties, while I start stitching the side edges for him to press; and we alternate back and forth until it's done. Basically, I do most of the stitching on all our products, while he cuts, presses, turns, trims and uses the serger.
Let us help you find matching products such as an apron, plastic bag holder, and dish towel -- or a set of placemats and some matching coasters -- or some cute tissue covers for various rooms in your home -- or a handy casserole carrier to use at your next food gathering.
Each of our fabrics is assigned a 3 or 4 digit number to identify it. By inserting that number (that appears at the front of any listing) into the Search Box, you can locate other items in that same fabric. If you are wanting a particular product (one that you can see we already make); but don't see a listing for it, feel free to contact us to see if we are able to make it for you.
