Tulip Costume Design
Meet the Maker
Sheila is the owner, shop manager, and head draper (pattern maker). Six other talented artisans cut, sew, fit, and build incredible creations. We all have college level education and decades of experience making costumes. These are not cheap Halloween costumes made in a factory. Your costume will not be made by a mom in her craft room! See etsy.com/shop/tulipdesign, tulipdesign.net, or facebook.com/tulipdesign for reviews and examples of our work. We're happy to make your individualized custom costume, and we also do full shows and large orders.
How it’s Made
We make all our own patterns and we embrace every body type, including children, plus size, and cis men. We will send you a detailed measurement list after you order.
Our historically accurate period gowns are handmade using the highest quality fabrics. We are trained artisans with decades of experience making thousands of costumes for theater, cosplay, reenactors, drag, and anything else you can imagine. Bodices are lined and heavily boned. We love custom work. We work in a smoke free, pet free professional costume shop in St Paul, MN. You're welcome to visit for in person fittings, or to see what we have available.
