* Ethically harvested goat hide. (The hides I use on my tambourines are a bi product. The animal's life is not taken for its hide)

** Please Note: Each Tambourine is hand made individually and no two are identical, as the hides differ in texture and receive the dye and ink colors in a unique way. The pictures shown represent the colors of dyes and inks used to create each Tambourine. Therefore, the colors are similar but not an exact representation of the color tones of the tambourine you will receive.

Meet the Maker
Dance to the Beat of a Different Drum
I became interested in the art of Drum making in 1996 and began making drums and various percussion instruments after a trip to Belize. While there I studied drumming and drum making under Emmeth Young located in Gales Point/Manatee. Emmeth is the village's Griot (a term used to depict the Keeper of Traditions through dance and music) and Master Drum Maker/performer. After a month of study in Gales Point/Manatee I helped arrange a trip to the Ozarks for Emmeth, where I was living at the time. There we spent three months making drums and drumming/performing in the region. I learned that the drum is composed of three spirits united. One the tree, two the animal (hide) and three the drum maker. Through the blending of the three spirits each drum has a unique song when played. I learned traditional drum making through Emmeth and through the years I developed my own drum making art style and skill. This initial experience has served to influence my art work as I expand through other artistic expression. The products I offer are hand crafted and infused with devotion to a peaceful, loving existence. Having gathered experience and inspiration from a somewhat bohemian lifestyle, I make my home now amidst the gentle nature of southwestern Oregon. It is my hope to share some inspiration with you through my expressions in art form.

How it’s Made
The 4" frame is constructed from laminated birch hardwood and sealed with non toxic, water based urethane.
The tambourine drum head is cut from tanned goat hide, and affixed to the frame.
Six polished steel jingles are then attached around the edge of the tambourine.
The drum head is hand dyed and painted in a design of your choice.

You can return the product within 14 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with it. Items can be exchanged, or refunded to the original payment method All returned products must be unused, undamaged and in the original packaging or packaging of like kind. If the returned items do not satisfy these requirements, your return will not be accepted. Keep in mind that if you choose to return the items via post you will need to cover the shipping costs. To return a purchased item, follow the steps below: 1. Send us an email with your order number and product description and state which items you would like to return. 2. Ensure the items you’re returning have not been used, and are in original condition. 3. Pack the products into their original packaging or provide for like-kind package.
