About this Product

SWEDISH DISHCLOTH: My Swedish dishcloths are made in Germany then printed in Sweden by the original printer of sponge cloths. Each cloth replaces 15-17 rolls paper towel. Ideal for streak-free cleaning of household surfaces. Reusable + washable + zero waste equals a friendly cleaning cloth that will add fresh pops of color and modern style to your kitchen while being nice to our planet at the same time.

ALL NATURAL MATERIALS: Made from 70% wood cellulose pulp + 30% recycled cotton fibers. When it’s seen its better days, cut to pieces and toss in with your organics for the garden - from the earth and back to the earth. The ink used for printing is water-based and GOTS-certified.

WASHABLE/REUSABLE: Each cloth is typically good for up to 200 wash cycles. Wash in washing machine or dishwasher. Sanitize in water in microwave.

SUPER ABSORBENT: Each Swedish sponge cloth easily absorbs 15 times its weight in water (that’s about 3/4 cup liquid)! When it's dry the cloth is stiff. When it's damp it is super soft like a chamois and very pliable so it will reach little corners.

SIZE 6.75" X 8": Just the right size to wipe up spills, to wipe fruit and little hands. Small in size with so many valuable uses.

DRIES QUICKLY: Hang to dry over a dishcloth rail or sink. Because the sponge cloth dries very quickly this helps the cloth to be odor resistant keeping your kitchen fresh and clean.

FROM THE FOREST BACK TO EARTH: Helping our planet one cloth at a time.

Midcentury Modern Designs in vibrant colors that will last and add joy to our homes while being functional at the same time.

Meet the Maker

Ever since I can recall, I have been fascinated by fiber and fabric and I love to play around with colors and textures.

I have done punch needle, basket weaving, pot holder weaving, quilting, crochet, knitting, pom pom and tassel making, tapestry weaving, fiber emballage and felting. I love the process of choosing a design and am unafraid of incorporating fun colors into my art projects.

I am a huge fan midcentury design and colors as one could see if they set foot in our home.

I’m also very aware of sustainability practices and when possible I incorporate recycled or found objects into my work.

Several years back, I endeavored into creating designs for Swedish dishcloths which I now have printed in Sweden at the original printer of Swedish dishcloths.  Swedish dishcloths, aka sponge cloths, are reusable and compostable resulting in an earth-friendly product that is very popular in Swedish kitchens.  I like to refer to these dishcloths as functional art - art with a purpose.

In addition to offering Swedish dishcloths with contemporary and midcentury designs, I also offer many supplies necessary for weaving and felting.  Here I focus on kits that include an assortment of colors of weaving materials, such as cotton warp thread and Merino wool roving.  I will also offer handmade woven tapestries and fiber emballage pieces as they become available.

I am the sole, female owner of my small business, Snow Woven.  I am from Upper Michigan and spend my time between Houghton and Traverse City, Michigan with my husband with frequent visits from our children and grandchildren.  My company name is a play on the fact that I enjoy many snowy days each winter where we live!
