Meet the Maker
I love all things having to do with jewelry making as well as crocheting, so why not combine the two. I create stitch markers, as well as all kinds of jewelry and I have made several crocheted items that I have for sale as well. I have been crocheting since I was 10 years old - well over 40 years. I have been making jewelry for 14 years.
How it’s Made
The charm is attached to a lobster clasp using an oval jump ring, via two pairs of bent nose pliers. The jump ring is twisted open and closed in such a way as to not compromise the integrity of the metal. If you open the jump ring wrong, you can easily stress the metal, therefore you risk creating a possible section of the metal that becomes weak over time and it could possibly break. By gently twisting the jump ring open, you eliminate this from happening.
Additionally, I only use oval jump rings, reducing the possibility of the charm falling off or separating from the clasp.
