About this Product
8.5 Inch Menstrual Pad/Incontinence Pad: These pads are handmade by me in the U.S.A. Each pad is made out of materials which have been tested by me. The topper (the printed part that touches your skin) is made of pre-shrunk cotton. The core has two layers of bamboo super heavy fleece. The backer (the solid part that touches your underwear) is made of softshell fleece. These pads can be customized at no additional charge. I can easily add to or remove layers from the core. My goal is to sew you a beautiful pad that will work well for you.

Meet the Maker
Looking for an earth-friendly alternative to disposable pads, I switched over to cloth menstrual pads years ago. During the pandemic, I ordered a pattern and tried sewing some myself. Since then, I have donated hundreds of pads to a non-profit organization that sends pads to women who are having financial challenges. Due to a work-related injury, I had to leave my job, but I am excited to take a hobby that I love and turn it into a small business. I hope you will enjoy using these pads as much as I have enjoyed making them.
How it’s Made
These pads are constructed in a way so that they last for years to come. I use a 2.8 to 3.0 stitch length for durability. The cotton topper (the printed part that touches your skin) has been pre-shrunk. The pads might be slightly longer (no longer than a quarter of an inch) than the listed size to compensate for any shrinkage that might occur. A dark color was chosen to reduce chances of staining. The core is made of two layers of super heavy bamboo fleece to prevent leaks. The backer (the part that goes against your underwear) is made of slip-resistant softshell fleece. I use size 20 KAM snaps.
Shop Policies
Processing Time: It usually takes 1-3 days to sew you the pads before I ship them out to you.
Return Policy: I will personally check each pad before it is shipped. Although it is unlikely, if there is an issue with the pad, please send me a photo of whatever the issue is along with the size of the pad and I will send you a new pad free of charge. Due to the nature of this product, I cannot accept returns.
Washing Instructions: After using, the pads can be stored in your purse by folding the ends towards each other and then snapping the wings over the ends. A small wet bag can also be used, but not necessary. Once you get home, you can store the pads in a large wet bag or any container until you are done with your cycle and ready to wash them. I would suggest to leave the bag unzipped/open as well as un-snapping and opening the pads and let the air get at them. Once you are ready to wash them at the end of your cycle, you can rinse them with cold water until the water runs clear in your tub or sink. Next, just put them in your washing machine and wash with your favorite detergent using cold water. Please do not use any fabric softener, as it will decrease the pad's ability to absorb fluid. Cloth menstrual pads should not develop any odors, but with some people, they can develop a slight metallic odor due to iron found in blood. If this happens, or if they stain, you can spray them with hydrogen peroxide after you are done rinsing and before throwing them in the wash. If you have further questions on how to wash/care for the pads, you can reach out to me and I will be happy to help.
