OOAK repurposed cigar box that I have turned into an Alice in Wonderland theme. My intention is to make the box look as antiqued and old as possible.
It is a mixed media piece of art. I have used acrylic paints, clay and molds, waxes, decoupaged papers, beads, glass flowers and sealers as well as hardware to make the product as unique as possible. The box does have a lock and key.
It generally takes me a week to make one box; mostly because of drying time and since I video how I make them, I also have to account for filming and editing for my youtube channel (link below).
For many years now, I have purchased all my cigar boxes from a local cigar shop that uses the donated funds to buy and ship cigars to deployed military. This has been a very rewarding experience for me and I will continue to do so because our military is very dear to me and I feel they need all the support they can get.
Since this is about Wonderland, I had some extra fun and added a couple hidden messages that will remain a secret to me but would be fun for the owner to try and figure out. Note: all my items have a hidden halo on them somewhere as well.
I will take extra care in packaging so this product arrives safely. I hope whoever purchases this item truly cherishes it and will know that I truly enjoyed the process of making this.

Meet the Maker
I’ve been an artist for over 20 years. I’m from a large military family and I started repurposing cigar boxes from a local shop where all the donations for the boxes went to purchasing cigars for deployed military.
I love repurposing items of all kinds though so I don’t limit myself to the boxes.
Angels are my favorite item to create and there’s nothing better than putting on some relaxing music and letting my creativity flow. I’ve learned to trust my work and not think too hard because in my opinion thinking means you don’t wanna make a mistake and there are no mistakes in art. I also thank God every day for my ability to create.

How it’s Made
I used some repurposed items like the cigar box and beads. I also used, air dry molding clay, molds, acrylic paints, waxes, sealers and other hardware.
