About this Product
This 8 " x 8" acacia wood tray is decorated with an inlay of genuine sleeping beauty turquoise sourced from a Native American jewelry supply company in Arizona. The inlay consists of crushed turquoise and food-safe epoxy resin. It is very versatile and makes a great gift for many occasions or for a difficult-to-buy-for person.
It is recommended that you do not use a sharp knife on the decorative inlay to preserve its integrity and beauty.
The tray has been treated with cutting board oil and then finished with cutting board wax.
Care instructions will be included with the tray.

Meet the Maker
Hi! My name is Denise Amos. I am a native of beautiful Sonoma County in northern California's wine country.
I am a multi-medium artist and maker based in Santa Rosa California. Art is my therapy. I enjoy making functional pieces with my husband using upcycled materials, watercolor, fluid art painting, and even some jewelry.
The ocean is my place to find peace, so for the last four years, I have specialized in resin wave art. I have since moved on from that medium to pursue turquoise inlay work. I hate waste, so I use every bit of wood, resin, or gemstone that I have, which often means that I'm also making earrings and pendants.
In 2024, art as therapy became even more important after my husband was diagnosed with advanced-stage stomach cancer. When I wasn't caring for him, I was in my studio doing the thing that brought me the most joy in life. As 2025 dawned, our world calmed down a bit, and I decided to take on ice skating. Learning to ice skate at 56 years old is an adventure but something I have always wanted to do. Living life to its fullest is what I am about, and I hope that comes through in my art.

How it’s Made
Image in deeply engraved and then epoxy resin is mixed with genuine turquoise and carefully inlaid into the design. After curing it is sanded to a flush finish and finished with cutting board oil and beeswax.

I am a small maker and have high standards. I will never sell a piece that I don't think is perfect, unless it is a part of my yearly "oops" sale in which I sell my seconds at a drastically reduced price and clearly explain what makes them a little less than perfect in my eyes.
With all of that said, these are handmade items, and they do not come out of a machine or off an assembly line, so no two items will be the same.
I strive to take realistic pictures, capturing the colors and nuances of the items, but camera and screen resolutions vary, so the shades may be a bit different in real life than what you see on the screen.
I have had over 600 sales on another platform and almost all of my reviews state that the item is even prettier in person.
