Part of our Desert Bones series using pieces of Arizona cholla skeleton and other desert plants to make unique fine silver (.999) statement jewelry. Each piece of cholla is chosen based on how unique the shape is.
This piece has a 20in amethyst chip necklace and sterling silver lobster claw clasp.
The pendant is a piece of actual cholla skeleton coated in fine silver clay (pmc3), fired, and finished with a wonderful patina.
The cholla piece/pendant is 2.25in long and up to an inch wide. This necklace weighs about 2.25oz.

Hello friend! Thank you for clicking on my "Meet the Maker" page. I'm so happy to be here.
I've been a maker and creator for over 25 years. I am a professional photographer who also teaches photography classes at the high school level. In addition to that, I run two small businesses (photography and crafting).
I started my metalsmithing journey over a decade ago when I saw Elemental Adornments at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. She made her pieces out of PMC3. I set out to find an instructor, and the rest is history... so to speak.
In addition to making jewelry, I love to make natural skincare products out of desert plants and have just started my soaping and candle making journey. Wish me luck!
