This is a beautiful pair of freshwater cultured button pearl earrings topped with a wire wrapped cluster of faceted amethyst beads. They measure 1 1/8 inches long from the top of the handmade sterling silver ear wires and the clusters are 3/4 inch wide.

How it’s Made
I made these earrings by first wire wrapping the 10 mm button freshwater pearl with 26 gauge sterling silver wire to making sure the flat bottom always stays in back. Then I made the clusters with 4 x 2 mm amethyst beads and sterling silver filled headpins and added them with the pearls to a strong, 18 gauge sterling silver jump ring. I then made the ear wires with 22 gauge sterling silver wire and attached the cluster earrings.
