About this Product
This is a style of buckle that I don't produce very often except for outstanding stone specimens for my personal collection. This buckle measures 3 1/4" by 1 7/8" and is fitted with my handmade German silver backing which will accept a belt up to 1 1/4" in width. All backings are signed, dated and have the stones name inscribed on the back. The metal I use is called German silver or nickle silver and is an alloy comprised of nickle, brass and zinc, it is not silver. The reasons I use it is because it is stronger, less expensive and it does not tarnish as does silver.

How it’s Made
I have been making my buckles for approximately 45 years. I cut shape and polish all my pieces and fabricate my belt buckle backings using German silver or as it's also called nickle silver. German silver is not silver but an alloy comprised of nickle, brass, and zinc and I use it because it is stronger, less expensive and it doesn't tarnish as does silver. All my buckles take around 20 different steps to complete and the one's with silver insets take many more steps.
