About this Product

My mother commissioned one of these for a friend. I thought it was a great idea, and decided to make them as gifts and for the shop. They are a perfect size to hang in a car window or on a window latch where they will cast rainbows.

This Prayer Bead Sun Catcher is constructed according to the Anglican tradition for making prayer beads. It was built using silver jewelry wire, turquoise stone chips, and small wooden beads. The Sun catcher is faceted glass.

Meet the Maker

Hi! Welcome to my shop. I am an artist, currently living in Kentucky, USA. I love color, I love skunks, and most of all I like to free create and start and finish huge ridiculous projects. There will likely be a little bit of everything here, and I so hope that what you see inspires and delights you. We all belong to each other. Thank you for stopping by.

How it’s Made

These are constructed in my tiny attic studio, I have so much fun choosing the combination of colors and textures. I store the beside my window, so before they go home with you they have the opportunity to cast rainbows all over my supplies. I feel like it might bless them a little bit.

This design was inspired by a suggestion from my mom, who wished to give a gift to her friend who is clergy in the Anglican Church. I enjoyed making it so much, I decided to make many more. Her friend loved it, I hope you will too!
