ARCHIVAL CANVAS GICLEE
Archival Canvas Giclees are a truly beautiful way to display nature photography. They capture a soft feel and resemble a painting.
This style of canvas is different than the thin wrap, both in the quality of inks used and the stretching technique which wraps it.
Archival Canvas Giclees are not cheap, but they will last 100 years. I use a local printer when I make these and we work together for the best colors and coatings to make the image gorgeous.
To order, simply choose your size from the menu, and let me know which image you are interested in.

Meet the Maker
Hello, My name is Katharine Emlen and I welcome you to my shop. I am a photographer and writer living in Knoxville, Tennessee. I love finding patterns in nature and beauty in the disheveled. I also love closing things off to remove context and make one wonder! Knoxville is a great place to be as an artist for the town is quaint, picturesque, and full of personality and charm. Very photogenic indeed!
I am also the artist behind The Poetry of Nature, as series of work that pairs macro photography with poetry. That work is featured in its own shop as it is distinct and complete as a body of work.

How it’s Made
ARCHIVAL CANVAS GICLEE
Archival Canvas Giclees are an investment. But they are stunningly beautiful and will last forever.
For canvas giclees, images are printed directly onto canvas, painted with a protective laminate, and then hand stretched over 1/2 inch stretcher bars. Being full frame, images jump right out and capture attention. Because my work is sensual and delicate in nature, canvas works with them especially well, and the laminate adds some brush strokes so they really do resemble a painting.
I work directly with a local, family run printer here in Knoxville. We sit down, look at the images, and do test prints to make sure we have the colors just so. Because of this, and because I wrap and ship with care, it might take up to two weeks for you to receive your art. But I promise, it will be worth the wait :)

PROCESSING TIME
All of my photographs are printed to order using a professional photo lab. Because of this it can take up to 5 days of processing time before I can ship to you. So please allow 7-10 days from when you order until you receive your photo.
Greeting cards and postcards will be shipped right away. :)
RETURNS
If you are unhappy with your image I am happy to offer a refund once the photograph has been returned. I am also happy to exchange it for a different one of the same size, once the original has been returned. Returns and exchanges are accepted up to two weeks from receipt of order.
INTERNTIONAL
I do not yet offer Digital Downloads, but I am more than happy to work with you on the most economical way to get you your print.
