This African American beauty is dressed in a gown of ivory muslin that is accented with wired burlap window pane ribbons, coffee stained cheesecloth, raffia, lace, ivy, and clusters of grapes being her main decor . She has a yellow rose accent center just to add a floral element. Her pretty hand painted face is on display beneath her gorgeous head piece that uses the same elements as her gown.
She carries a little sign that displays her theme: This OOAK Black Scripture Art Doll was inspired by "Galatians 5: 22,23. "But the fruit of the Spirit is" and we know it can sometimes be hard developing those fruits. LOL She IS a lovely inspirational art doll created to remind you that you can do it! She is handcrafted approximately 19 inches tall, porcelain from the waist up and built on a sturdy pressed board cone. What a lovely home décor accent as well as an inspirational gift to be given.

Angel Tree Toppers and Art Dolls is what I love to create!! I get inspiration for my designs from my study of the Bible and from people that inspire me with their different personalities, a phrase someone might say or an event or situation. What I love about what I do is that I have never made two of anything just alike. This shop came about because I could not find a treetopper suitable for my tree; wrong hair color, skin color, dress color, theme. Subsequently, I thought others may have the same issue. I have never had sewing lessons and have never used a pattern. Every gown is free hand cut without a pattern. Sometimes I am surprised myself how some of my designs turn out! LOL
I want my dolls and angels to be reminders of something "lovely" to have an uplifting meaning and some positive inspiration. With the personalized hang tags it's a lovely way to say something from YOUR heart to someone else's heart in a one of a kind handmade way. Giving customers the chance to send a personalized note with their purchase is something I really love to do. No extra charge! It gives the recipient a focal point, a way to remember, and it makes your gift become a wonderful heirloom and keepsake. I have had some very trying times, painful experiences, and serious heartbreaks including the death of my only beloved daughter who was my sidekick, sometime I thought I would not make it but The Lord has brought me through them all. I consider it a privilege to be able to create lovely things that others can enjoy and that inspire hope and encouragement. Think about this: it may seem absurd but there is someone somewhere who would probably love to have your life, even with all the issues. Change the angle of your view the best CAN be yet to come and just maybe you are a little more blessed than you realize. Every new day is a chance to start afresh and be grateful for life.
