How it’s Made
The material for this bowl was saved from the land fill and chipper when being removed from a private property. When making bowls I prefer the twice turned method. This means that I turn the wood green and then dry it for up to a year. during that time the grain will relax and then I will turn it again and apply finish. Wood is an Organic material that is constantly moving. This process means that the bowl will be more stable and hold its shape better. All of my bowls are coated with food safe linseed oil and bees wax.
