Baby Clothes Rag Quilt Keepsake Memory

Bring those cherished baby clothes out of storage! Let’s make them into a cuddly rag quilt that you can enjoy every day. The quilt can include the clothing of one child or multiple children. I would be honored to create one for you.

WHAT MAKES MY RAG QUILTS DIFFERENT?
Details! I do more than just cut squares; I spend a lot of extra time finding ways to showcase the very best details of the garment. I also use a bigger square than most baby clothes rag quilts, which allows larger graphics (often found on t-shirts) to show better.

HOW MANY PIECES OF CLOTHING ARE NEEDED?
One piece of clothing makes one square, so you can choose the number of squares you want accordingly. Don’t worry if you are short, as some pieces can be used more than once.

WHAT KINDS OF BABY ITEMS CAN BE USED?
Great items to include: onesies, sleepers, crib sheets, receiving blankets, t-shirts, rompers, dresses, pants. Items that often don’t work well are hats.

DOES A MIXED BAG OF CLOTHING ALL LOOK GOOD TOGETHER?
Yes, it does! After creating the squares, I arrange the various colors and styles in a visually pleasing layout. This is my favorite part of the process! I have a lot of experience making t-shirt quilts where I learned how to take unmatched shirts and arrange them to get a cohesive look.

WHAT FABRICS ARE USED?
Each square has three layers: The top layer is the clothing. The middle layer is white flannel. The back of the quilt is your choice of pink, blue, purple or gray flannel with tiny white dots.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER PURCHASE?
I will email you within 24 hours with detailed instructions on selecting and shipping your clothes. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the clothes to me, and I pay to ship the finished quilt to you. I use Priority Mail with insurance and tracking.

I will wash and dry the finished quilt, starting the fraying/ragging process for you. The quilt will continue to fray and get softer with each washing.
