This vintage bark cloth purse is one of a kind and hand made in our studio. The gorgeous vintage fabric has lots of texture. and the MCM floral pattern is made up of a great group of colors. We carefully placed the pattern pieces before cutting to highlight the design on the fabric and lines of the bag. Both sides feature the design. There are two outside pockets which really add a lot of style to the purse. The combination of the curve at the top of the purse and the 30 inch reinforced leather strap makes the purse fit perfectly under the arm and close to your body. The lining is made from a complementary fabric. The metallic center clasp in center keeps the items in your purse secure. We recommend Scotchgard to protect and preserve the fabric. Measures approximately 14” by 14”.

Why "A Few Good Bananas"?
As three sisters that enjoy spending time and creating together, when we formed a business we wanted to pick a name that would have special meaning to us. We used to take turns grocery shopping for our Mom, and it became a joke between us that on every grocery list she would put "a few good bananas." We chose our name to honor our very artistic Mom who always encouraged us to use our imaginations.
Our business evolved from a family tradition. Each year the three of us would get together and make presents for the kids in the family for Christmas, and every year we would make something different. One year we decided to make hats from reclaimed materials. They were such a hit with the kids and we were having so much fun making them that we couldn't stop. As it turned out, adults liked to wear our hats, too. Needless to say, one thing led to another and we now have a studio in the historic Town of Skaneateles, New York, that we work and play out of. Each of us brings a different personality to our creations and most of them are one-of-a-kind or limited edition. We want our customers to have just as much fun wearing them as we do making them!
How it’s Made
We seek out high quality, unusual and vintage fabrics to use in our creations, and many of our pieces are made from recycled materials that have been laundered with care. This purse was made from start to finish by our own hands in our studio. We were lucky enough to find two complementary backcloths! The main body was made from one piece and the side pockets with stripes was made from another. We love how it worked out!
Shop Policies
Processing Time: We ship items Monday through Friday and generally sent out orders within 1-3 days of being received.
Return Policy: Returns accepted if product is in original, unused condition. Buyer pays return postage.
