These gorgeous mugs take you straight to your favorite beach, be it the ocean or your favorite lake. Mine is always Lake Michigan, and these drippy, bubbly layers of blue splash down to the beautiful sandy beach at the bottom of the mug.
I love how people see art differently, and a dear friend actually sees “a mountain landscape, where the land meets the sky.” How cool is that!
Either way, I know these mugs will have you taking a deep, peaceful breath as you drink your coffee and dream of your favorite place.

Meet the Maker
Hello! I’m Carrie, the face behind Meandering Stream Ceramics! I took my first pottery class in January 2023, and was hooked. Now I need to sell some pieces to make room in my house, and to support my habit. ;) I’m often inspired by nature and the colorful world we live in.
My day job is teaching singing lessons! Music is my first passion. My husband is also a musician - we met in music school! Our family is rounded out with our 2 adult kids, and our rescue doggo Bailey. We live in the far west burbs of Chicago, but have family connections to Northern Michigan and Newfoundland, Canada. I am often inspired, and awed, by the beauty of where we grew up.
How it’s Made
This is a wheel thrown mug, glazed with a beautiful beach vibe, with blues and whites, and a beach base. It has a comfy pulled handle, 3 or 4 finger. All glazes are lead free and food safe. Also dishwasher and microwave safe, though I always recommend handwashing your favorite pottery.
This mug will easily become a favorite cozy mug for relaxed mornings, or a mental trip to the beach in the afternoon.
There are 3 mugs, all glazed in the same way, but each unique from the other. You may not get the exact mug in the photo, but they are VERY similar.

These are unique, one of a kind, handmade ceramic items. There may be small imperfections, but none that disrupt the functionality of the piece.
Handmade ceramics are made with love and soul, unlike mass produced store items. I put a lot of thought into the creation, shape, and glazing of each and every piece.
