Hello There, I am Edie Ishii from Kingman AZ. My speciality are handmade leather bags and purses.My bags are inspired by the Swiss Army Knife, made to last a lifetime with useful features. I like distressed leather and rugged edges. I feel it gives my pieces their own personality. All items are 100% made by me, from design to all the hand sewing (saddle stitch) .Each bag takes about 8 hours of work time.
How it’s Made
This bag was the first I have made from a wonderful red hide I have. I wanted to make a casual hiking bag for going out in the desert. Strong enough to carry rocks, and other desert treasures home in and large enough to carry all the usual gear a purse holds.
I cut the hide myself, sew all the pieces together then add the hardware for the side features and clasp. Each bag takes me about 8 hours.
