I sanded and painted a base coat on this box. I then selective items for decoration and picked colors to accent these items. I varnished the inside and out to seal and protect the box. Makes a wonderful gift for birthdays, Christmas, roommate gift, graduation, Mother’s Day or just for someone in your life who is special or just for yourself because you are worth it. I have so much fun creating these Memory boxes. I hope this box will bring you as much joy as creating it did me.

How it’s Made
After completing a fine sanding the whole box was primed with gesso.
A creative technique was used to made textured paper that was used on this box. Twelve hours later when that was dry the box was painted with the planned color scheme.
Dry brush technique was used to highlight the raised design.
Additional colors were used for more interest.
Beautiful printed paper was used to cover the inside of the box.
While the box is drying in its various stages the embellishments were being prepared and hand painted.
The embellishments and clasp were put on the box.
The final step was to varnish the complete box.
