About this Product

Bound by moral obligation. Indebted by gratitude. A woven representation of the cyclical nature within the simple gestures. These original framed weavings are being sold as a pair or until a single piece is sold. 50% of the proceeds from these weavings will be donated in your name to the Safe Passage Project, a nonprofit that offers free legal counsel to immigrant children facing deportation. To learn more about their beautiful work please visit https://www.safepassageproject.org/about-us/ Constructed in thrifted oblong, octagonal vintage wooden picture frames, these woven beauties radiate. They display a in-house warping method that does not include the use of additional hardware such as nails, prongs, or studs. The weavings and frames are truly joined and bound together in hopes of doing the same with you. These unique pieces of modern fiber art are woven up using all recycled cotton fabrics I deconstruct to weave with. All fabrics were purchased from my local craft resale shop, Craft Bits and Pieces in Fairport, NY. They are a non profit ensuring accessibility to independent living for elderly in my community. Round and round we go. The frames measure in at 8x6x1" Hanging hardware has been installed to ensure a seamless transition into your heart and home. For more information about these beauties, me, or ToolBoxEarth please visit us at www.toolboxearth.com Your new weavings will be lovingly packed and shipped in recycled materials. Free shipping is included for domestic patrons. What a glorious force is created when art and activism meet. Thank you so much for considering welcoming my art into your home. Meet the Maker

I am a trickster by nature,

Woolf-like.

Methodical.

Some days more fox-like.

Mischievous.

Creating a gentleness and fluidity between the ordinary and the unordinary

is what I strive to do in my making process.

Ethereal trickery, maybe.

The fruition of curiosity leads to a pause for contemplation.

For a moment of quiet focus.

A rest.

Let it begin with your eyes.

Artist stand on the edge of a shallow pond. Canvas shoes can be seen as can the rough reflection of the artist in the water along with light refracting against algae covered stones underwater

Care Instructions:

NEVER LINT ROLL YOUR WEAVING. IT'LL GET WEIRD. Instead, simply hold it by the frame/hoop and flip it over. Lightly pat the back of the weaving to shake out any dust that has collected. Carefully trim off any unwanted/ghastly shag. Feel free to kind of 'massage' the fibers in a strumming motion from the back to freshen it up a bit.
