Boring, yet responsibly sourced white t-shirts have been smashed and hammered with interesting plants we grow ourselves to create one-of-a-kind pieces of apparel that you can wear anywhere. T
hick enough to not be see-through, but still breathable enough to prevent under-arm stains, these lovely shirts have been imprinted with flowers, herbs, and plants that would have otherwise left no lasting impression upon the world. Now they live on to be worn again and again.
The unique hammer-dyed patterns primarily appear on the front of the shirt, but some detailing has been added to the backs of a few of them, indicated in the photos. Each shirt has been mordanted before being hit repeatedly a the hammer to ensure the imprinted flowers and plants last indefinitely.
You can create your own print too!! If you want to add you're own flowers to your shirt, I have a simple tutorial for you. Just type in Ducks Never Waver into YouTube and follow the easy steps!
Care Instructions: Taking care of your plant dyed items is very easy. Simply wash on COLD on GENTLE using a MILD DETERGENT. AIR DRY flat or drying rack, use a cool iron if necessary. It is normal for the color to change a bit over time. That’s the joy of nature! We do our best to show the color of the pieces accurately. The magical qualities are difficult to capture, so please realize that it may look slightly different in person.

Hi, I’m Megan and things are a little quacky here!
Ducks Never Waver started when I was going through severe health issues and one day I saw some ducks swimming in frigid water, doing their thing, just excited to be ducks. I decided I wanted that, maybe not to be a literal duck, but to be creative and have a beauty filled life! I’ve been doing fiber arts since I was 9 and I am still so excited about creating one of a kind pieces! Always keeping comfort and ease in mind, I’ll throw in an nod to ancient crafts, bold color combos, or an eclectic use of materials that make you go “mmmhhmm that’s a bit quacky!”
My hope for my products is that they express the beauty that God has created and show the healing quality of art for the maker and you!
How it’s Made
Gildan Hammer T-Shirt is treated with alum mordant and then hammer dyed with plants grown/gathered by me.
