This free form peyote stitch needle woven pendant is made in shades of lustrous blue glass beads and features a blue butterfly glass focal piece. It is strung on an 18” thin faux leather string with an S hook sterling clasp. This is a truly one of a kind piece you will enjoy wearing. The pendant is 2 3/4 " by 1 3/4".

I am an artist and maker. I love the way all of my senses ... via color, materials, contrast, sight, sound, contrast, shape, and line ... suggest relationships. I utilize a variety of materials; new, found, and reclaimed to create art and objects influenced by my life experience. I make collage and mixed media art. I also make inventive, curious, and useful things by hand. I hold deep gratitude to the loving family and teachers in my life who inspired me to use my hands and creative energy.
How it’s Made
This free form pendant is designed and handmade by me, with glass beads and focal butterfly, strong thin nylon thread, sterling silver wire hand made clasp, and a faux leather string fastened with crimps. It is hand stitched in peyote stitch an off loom needle weaving technique that lends it self to highly creative free form designs. Peyote stitch is worked in an up down pattern that requires 2 stitches into each bead using fine strong nylon thread and a very thin needle. It can be cleaned by gently wiping with a damp cloth and dried with a clean dry cloth.
