This piece is made with Rainbow Obsidian,Picture Jasper and Sodalite for the moon.. I have supported these stones with my handmade German silver backing. The backing is signed and dated and the stones are also identified on the backing. This buckle measures 2 1/8" by 3 1/4" and will fit a belt up to 1 1/2" in width. One note, German silver is not silver but an alloy also known as nickle silver and it is comprised of nickle ,zinc, and copper. I use it because it is less expensive which keeps the price of my buckle's down, it is stronger and it doesn't tarnish like silver.

How it’s Made
I have been making my buckles for approximately 45 years. I cut shape and polish all my pieces and fabricate my belt buckle backings using German silver or as it's also called nickle silver. German silver is not silver but an alloy comprised of nickle,brass, and zinc and I use it because it is stronger,less expensive and it doesn't tarnish as does silver. All my buckles take around 20 different steps to complete and the one's with silver insets take many more steps.
