We use vegetable tanned leather that is made in a process that is centuries old. It is then mechanically milled to increase its softness without reducing its strength. We cut, tool and filigree by hand. We bevel the edges and burnish them by hand. We dye the cuff blank individually in a process that takes many days. After a protective top coat is applied to the veg tanned blank, we stitch the soft plonge lamb leather liner to it. Plonge leather is made from only the best quality lamb hides. It is then plunged or immersed in dye to give it a saturated color. It is not given a top coat to preserve its unique and decadent softness. All plonge is lamb but not all lamb is plonge. It is possibly the most luxurious leather available.
Stainless steel snaps are installed by hand. Stainless steel is up to four times as costly as other materials but we feel it is worth it. Then our creation waits for a new home.
Once it is purchased, we carefully wrap and package it into a padded mailer. We use plain white mailers or priority USPS packages so no one will be the wiser about your purchase.
