About this Product

I've always found Botswana Agates to be among the prettiest agates in the world, and I'm glad get to share this piece with you. Cut from a nodule and then hand polished, this stone shows all the possible characteristics of these agates, including color and banding. The stone is wrapped in stainless steel wire for maximum durability, strength, and tarnish resistance. It takes a lot of force to bend stainless steel wire, giving this pendant a lasting look.

Botswana Agates are mostly found in the Bobonong district of Botswana, Africa and are famous for their bandings of white, black, grey and occasional touches of pink or salmon.

Pendant size is 2 3/8" tall by 1 1/4" wide.

The pendant will be shipped with a basic 20" cord to be worn as is or to easily swap out for your favorite chain.

Your order will be ready to be shipped within 1-3 business days.

Meet the Maker

When does an idea become a reality? A number of years ago as I was picking up sea shells on a family vacation and paused to wonder what I was doing. I mean, picking up stuff on the beach is the tourist thing to do, but I'm not the kind of guy to leave the shells laying around in decorative dishes. So what else were they for? That night I looked up ideas to turn sea shells into jewelry so that I could make wearable souvenirs for the family. Two years later I was on a beach doing the same with rocks. That's where the idea of turning rocks into jewelry started. As my son and dad joined me, all three of us named Ken, Ken Generations of Jewelry was born. With enthusiastic support from my wife who loves being festooned in handcrafted art I developed my style, gained skill in my craft, and even launched a YouTube channel to help share what I've learned with others. Now, through this shop, an idea has become a reality and I thank you for joining me and my family on this journey and I hope that you feel as blessed with our encounter as I do.

If you like my pieces, I'd love to use YouTube to show you how they're made. If you'd like to be a bit more avant-garde you can even check out my latest tumble video(s) and let me know which stones you'd like wrapped.

How it’s Made

Botswana agates were among the first purchased rough stones I ever worked with and I've been in love with them ever since. This stone was cut on a whim to see if I could make the banding appear more brightly, and it didn't disappoint. I then polished the piece by hand using a flat lap method and wrapped it in stainless steel. I love wrapping my pieces in stainless steel for its incredible tarnish resistance, strength, and durability.

I'm very happy you've taken the time to check my work. If you'd like to see the cutting of this stone, you can watch it on my YouTube channel at:

Shop Policies

This life is made up of relationships, no matter how brief or in depth. In this relationship I hope that we can be more than a vendor and customer, I hope we can be friends.

Shipping lead time:

Like you, I'm a real person with a real life and a real family. They come first, but they support me in this venture so you can reasonably expect that the items you have requested will be shipped the next business day.

Return Policy:

As with any friendship, there is an understanding of good faith. If you receive and item that was not as described, I have broken that good faith, and will do everything in my power to make the situation right, including paying for return shipping. I value YOU, not your money.

Custom Orders:

I hesitate to say I do custom orders. I have in the past made items for people who want an exact item, and those that want a stone, glass, or something similar wire wrapped into jewelry. I do custom orders for the latter. If you've seen my jewelry you know the style I make and must like it if you're thinking of having something custom wrapped by me. I'm happy to receive that item and wrap into a piece of wearable art for you. If you would like a specific type of stone wrapped that I might have, I'm also happy to do the same. Feel free to contact me.
