About this Product
I designed this matching set for a bride & groom's table, engagement or anniversary party. This dinner plates 8"x9" in size and has a notch for your thumb. Glazed in blue, teal and maroon. I call them Walking Plates because fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. Guests will enjoy using them as they mingle about and enjoy delicious party fair! You can also create a display to hold your votive candles, cosmetics or charcuterie board. They also look great as a standalone piece of art. Each plate is heart shaped and has texture from a Hosta leaf. This plate is completed by a heart shaped foot underneath. My hope is that these will be cherished part of your home decor for many years to come. I was inspired to make them on a visit to Grand Isle, LA. while enjoying all the tropical foliage they have there.

Meet the Maker
I love the feel and even the smell of clay, clay has a special place in my heart. I am amazed by what can be made out of clay, which is basically tiny dirt particles mixed with water, aka mud! I took ceramics in high school and I use those same skills today. Everything I make is hand built meaning I don't use a pottery wheel. I roll out slabs then cut, add texture and then form them into unique pieces. Much of my work is inspired by creation. My goal in my craft is to make pieces that are both functional and beautiful. All of my pieces are unique and one of a kind. The differences come from the various forms I use or the glazing no two pieces are alike. I was born and raised in San Francisco Bay Area and relocated in KY in 2013. I have an A.S in Photography and a B.A. in Art Studio. I teach Digital Media for a private school and work in ceramics in the summer. I love the outdoors and have a dog named Ladybug who keeps me company while I am in the ceramic studio!
How it’s Made
This piece was made by rolling clay into a slab. I then use real leaves to get the texture and shape. I then form them to add the a 3d quality. These plates were inspired by a trip to Grand Isle, LA. I love all the tropical looking plants they have there. I brought some leaves home from my trip and developed what I call a Walking Plate. Since they fit comfortably in your hand and I think would be fun at a party.

Returns are accepted with 30 days. Product must be in original condition to receive refund. Customer will pay return shipping.
Customer will be refunded for cost of product only. Customer will not receive refund for the cost to ship the product to customer.
If product is received damaged a refund will be issued or replaced with a similar product of customers choice.
Care has been takin to achieve accurate colors of glaze. However, colors may not be exactly as they are seen on screen.
I do not ship international.
