Broccoli tends to be a love-it-or-leave-it vegetable—but when it’s cooked well, it’s genuinely delicious. Roasted or stir-fried, it keeps its texture and develops a nutty, earthy sweetness that’s easy to appreciate.
This piece is part of my Produce series in oil, a collection that honors the quiet beauty of ingredients we often take for granted. Have you ever really studied a head of broccoli? I’m especially drawn to its branching forms and tight blossoms — technically flowers, though we don’t often think of them that way — and to the wide variety of warm and cool greens. It’s satisfying to paint and endlessly interesting.
Painted on flat (1/8") hardboard, this 6x6" piece is varnished and unframed, ready to add a bit of playful stillness to your wall or shelf.
Fun facts about broccoli — It’s high in fiber and rich in vitamins C and K. It also contains sulforaphane, a natural compound studied for its potential to support heart health and protect against certain types of cancer.

I don't accept returns unless the item is defective or the wrong item is sent, but I hope you will contact me if you are not completely satisfied. I would like to see what I can do to resolve the issue and feedback is always helpful. :)
