About this Product
This is an adorably detailed bunk bed sized for an 18 inch doll. This follows our cottage style of bed frames. The foot board and head boards are raised panel. They have decorative flower engravings inlaid with metallic paint. The bed was built with traditional furniture techniques using tenon and mortise construction ( no screws or nails). The bed was subjected to multiple stages of sanding and several coats of primer and cabinet grade paint.
The bed comes with 2 sets of bedding. Each set includes a mattress, a mattress cover with velcro enclosures, a reversable cover and 2 pillows.
This is shipped fully assembled and ready for use.

How it’s Made
The bed is made from polar hardwood. Rough lumber is purchased from a lumber mill and planed flat. This is the used to cut parts such as rails, posts, head and foot boards. Mortises ( rectangular holes) are cut into the posts and tenons cuts on the rails. These are precisely to ensure a snug fit. The head and footboards are routed on the edge for their raised panel edge and are attached to the posts using splines. Finials are added to each post. The parts are sanded before assembly and also after assembly. Finishing starts with at least 2 coats of primer. then this is followed by cabinet grade paint. Each coat of paint is sanded with increasing grits to ensure a very smooth finish.
