Although they thrive in containers, they also excel in raised beds if that's what you prefer. What sets the Bush Crop cucumber apart is its unique growth pattern—more bush-like than a vine. This open-pollinated heirloom variety is a disease-resistant gem, specifically designed to combat scabs.
With each bush measuring between 10 to 12 inches tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, you can enjoy an abundant harvest of optimal slicing cucumbers, spanning 6 to 8 inches in length. Just imagine those perfect cucumber slices adorning your refreshing chicken salad boats! For optimal growth, we recommend using a 5-gallon container for each plant. However, if you have a wider container, go ahead and squeeze in more of these delightful bushes. Don't forget to provide them with plenty of full sunlight and a balanced fertilizer once the true leaves take form.
