About this Product
Denim crossbody upcycled purses are made from denim jeans, cottons, and/or T-Shirts! What better way to upcycle those favorite items than to make a durable and useful bag!
My crossbodys are always lined, always have an inside pocket, and always have outside pockets. Each purse is unique, no patterns are used, I just cut and sew as the dimensions of the jeans and shirts I’m using allow.
This one is a black faded denim with a sparkly sequin butterfly applique on the front pocket. The lining and strap are a cotton Paris print. There are two large outside pockets and two small inside pockets. Bright pink seam binding holds the front and back together. Two silver D-rings hold the strap on so it lays flat to your body. A large snap on the foldover top holds it securely closed.
Just the right length for motorcycle and bicycle riding, sightseeing, and anytime you want to be hands-free while keeping all your necessary items close to you.
Washable - spilled something in it or got it dirty? No problem, throw it in the wash just like you would your favorite pair of jeans! Tuck the strap inside so it doesn't get caught up around other items or in the machine, and use the gentle cycle to avoid sequins rubbing off.
Outside dimensions are: 11" long, 9" wide.
Opening is 7 1/4" across, strap is 44", inside pockets are approximately 4" x 6".
Care: machine wash, low heat dry.
All fabrics are prewashed.

Hello! I'm Denise, welcome to the crafty corner of my world where I create unique items to share with the rest of the world. I love to upcycle, and love a challenge to create a custom piece. My goal is to be able to do what I love full time, which I'm working toward little by little :)
How it’s Made
For this one I had just the back pockets of a smaller pair of faded black jeans, so I chose to make en envelope style crossbody. The shape is a little asymmetrical as I was trying to use every bit of denim left.
I found the butterfly applique in my stash and remembered I had a little Paris fabric left, and then it came together!
A couple small inside pockets, a large snap, and some seam binding and it is perfect for holding just what you need.
I used the denim with the D-rings to extend the strap a little more, and it's a great design touch.
