Chaos Conductor is a woodburned Canadian goose with an attitude. Admittedly, that’s like saying water is exceedingly wet, but this goose takes it to vengeful wizard levels, stirring up the storms over a once peaceful lake.
Hand drawn and burned on a live edge, basswood plank, this goose will bring the lake, the storms, and nature’s fury anywhere you need a touch of art and a reminder of nature’s power.

Unchecked Arts began as an outlet for the creative exploration of the ways humans and nature impact each other. My art often reflects my fascination with change and varied perspectives. The use of traditional methods stems from an attachment to the transformative nature of taking things slow. Each piece is drawn by hand and therefore unique.

How it’s Made
My wood burns are drawn by hand using a tiny metal nib. This burn took upwards of twenty-five hours.

When buying pyrography (woodburn), please be aware that you are buying a piece of "living art" and that over time the vibrancy, texture and tonal qualities will most likely change. Wood can darken and is subject to the effects of humidity and lighting. It is up to your care of the art and Mother Nature how much change will occur and when.
That said, keeping the art out of sunlight and away from humidity will help slow the effects of change.
