These carpenter bee traps are the most effective solution to boring bee problems that I have found. I have 2 styles of bee traps, I have a hanging style and also have a flush mount style ( see pictures ). These will be sold in sets of 3. This will include the traps with the ring attached. All you will have to do is attach a regular size canning jar. I am doing this to where I can keep the weight down and offer free shipping. I have tried the bags that are supposed to look like hornet nest and scare them away. That was highly ineffective for me. After climbing all over my 2 story log home and hanging those bags all over it, I observed over the next few weeks that the bees would even crawl on the bags. They weren't scared at all. I have tried all the ole' wives tales and nothing has worked better than these traps. For best results hang on the outside perimeter where strong bee activity is observed. Also, works best if you can block off existing holes. These are made from new wood that has been wood burnt, and hanging hardware. Thanks for looking!

Meet the Maker
Somewhere in the mountains and valleys of western North Carolina lies a small woodworking shop named Ash Creek Woodworks. This shop is located on 4th generation property. It is operated by my wife and myself. Inside this shop you will discover power woodworking tools dating back to the 1950's that still are in use today. Also, you will find hand tools that were my grandfathers. By the way, I am a grandfather myself, that lets you know how old some of these tools are. The hands of his great, great grandson have also used his tools. My grandson loves to help his Gramps in the shop when he visits. Also, you will find some modern tools such as variable speed routers, thickness planers and cnc controlled laser to name just a few. We endeavor to provide our customers with a high quality hand made American product at a reasonable price. The vast majority of our resources (wood) comes from local suppliers. We feel this is the most environmentally friendly way for us to conduct business. This also provides jobs to our local economy.
For us, taking a rough sawn slab of wood and turning it in to an attractive product for our customers is very rewarding. As well as taking a piece of 100 year old barnwood and turning it in to something useful instead of it winding up on a burn pile. Whether it's the first pass through the planer and watching the grain come to life or sanding the project through the grits of sandpaper, with each progressing grit you can feel the surface become smoother and smoother. Then at the end when you have hand rubbed the fourth coat of finish on and the wood just glows there is deep satisfaction in what you have created.
