This Hnefatafl game is carved out of a large 15"x15" piece of rare antique Patagonian Rosewood. The game pieces are made from beautiful black Ebony and deep red Padauk. The combination of woods create a visual symphony intended to transport players to a bygone era of strategic prowess. Not being satisfied with the detailed carvings, Yarema also added the rich gleam of real 24 karat gold game squares to play with the light. Obviously this beautiful handmade Hnefatafl game board was not created to be merely a game, but more than that—a timeless work of art, inviting those you play with to immerse themselves in the grandeur of a forgotten age.
